A Tart and a Teaser

This is the first tart that I've ever made- it's a blueberry and green apple tart and was surprisingly easy. I think the trick is to use puff pastry as the shell. All you have to do is thaw a sheet of puff pastry, roll it out, put the filling in the middle and wrap the pastry to make a 4-5 inch hole in the center. Sprinkle with sugar and then you have your very own tart! Love the sound of that word. Tart.

So exciting! I received my Club Little House package in the mail yesterday. It is absolutely filled with goodies, so many goodies all individually wrapped and so pretty. It's a bit like Christmas around here. I haven't unwrapped anything yet because I want to draw out the excitement as long as possible. I'm going to tear into everything today and will post pictures tomorrow. Thank you Amy for being such a wonderful swap hostess!

Vintage Button Swap

I received my vintage button swap package in the mail yesterday which came all the way from Ireland. Thank you so much Karen, I love it! Included in the package were adorable ice cream erasers, a cute pair of scissors which I am not sharing, a package of chocolate buttons, Sainsbury's Magazine which has lots of gorgeous pictures and recipes and a card full of vintage buttons.

Karen has a sweet pink blog called Little Pink Toes and an up and coming Etsy shop- can't wait to see what she creates! Thank you again Karen for the goodies, now to start dreaming about what to do with these buttons. More Vintage Button Swap Goodness here
