Back from a very relaxing weekend and tiptoeing into the week. Contemplated taking a dip in this swimming hole but it was way too cold! Everything was so green and beautiful. This church sits on the bank of a stream-mountains above and water below. I sat on the edge of the water and read a book-it was so peaceful.
Is it really Monday again? We spent last week and this weekend in a sort of panic-my husband's 12 year old lab was so, so sick-it seemed to be touch and go there for awhile. But, almost miraculously he is back to his spunky old self-still waiting for some test results to come back but things seem to be improving. Yesterday we took him to an emergency specialty clinic that was a few miles from the beach-listening to the waves and combing the sand for sea glass was just what we needed. It had stormed the night before and we hit the sea glass jackpot! A few days ago I was online searching through real estate listings that are my dream homes-ones that we could never afford-but I love to see what's out there and I think I found what I was looking for... Now, where's my lottery ticket...
One thing that I learned this past week is that it really helps me to ground myself when I spend time outside. There seemed to be a calmer energy, a sense of order in nature that is predictable and timeless. It's hard to tell in the picture but this tree is enormous-the leaves on the ground were almost as big as elephant ears. When the world around me is buzzing I'm really going to try and drop it all and head out. Lots of Christmas inspiration to show you tomorrow-have a great day!
It feels good to be blogging again-sorry for the long break. I'm feelin a bit like this tree, lost some of my leaves but I'm still standing! I've got some great things to share with you this week-much more tomorrow.
