I love finding old magazines from the 60's and 70's- they are so dated and definitely not PC according to today's standards. I'm always astonished at all of the advertisements for cigarettes! They seem to have been replaced by ads for prescription medication in today's magazines. What is in magazines today that will surprise us thirty years from now?
I love this attic redo in all of its tacky, pointy-edged, danger-ridden glory. Nothing spells fun like a do it yourself platform swing hanging from the ceiling perilously close to a couple of ten foot plywood trees.
But, I do love it. See the owl tucked in the rafters? The cut outs in the trees for the birds? The built in beds? I likey.
But the inexpensive prefab fireplace from a mailorder catalog that requires only a hole cut in the roof and a non-combustible hearth? Not so much.
